The Cursed Blue Rose
Standing timber on one side, deep water on the other: Tiramun was built on the exchange that arrangement makes possible, turning forest into ships and ships into reach. It is among the original Ashanar foundations and has worked the same trade ever since. The temperate seasonal forest comes almost to the tideline, and behind the wharves lie slipways, rope-walks, sail-lofts, pitch and tar, and the seasonal rhythm of felling, hauling and launching that keeps a substantial city fed. Crews winter here and stand out to sea when the weather turns. The yards never stop, because a fleet is not a thing built once.
Ashanar crew these decks, a people whose name rests on the covenant given and the coast left behind, and Tiramun suits both halves of that. The city is a seat in its own right; the smaller settlements inland look to it, and it in turn stands within the wider bloc of Kerevoz. Authority here follows a harbour logic, reckoned in hulls fit to sail, crews under obligation, and the distance a sworn ship can be sent before the season closes.
