The Cursed Blue Rose
Nothing grows easily in the dry scrub-country of the east, and Leskon has spent its whole existence arguing with the ground. Every green thing around the city is the result of labour: grain where the soil holds, vine and orchard above it, and past those the runs where flocks eat whatever refuses to make a crop. Agriculture comes first, herding second, and the two together feed a third trade, the workshops that mill, press, tan, spin and weave what field and flock deliver, so that very little leaves Leskon in the state it arrived.
A foundation of the third wave, Leskon has had time to grow substantial without ever growing grand. Leskonites are Suvanar, and the city is large enough that a weaver may spend a whole working life at the loom without once walking out to the grazing runs that supply it. Nothing stands between Leskon and Risbern, so the city answers to the bloc itself. Worship follows the Radiant Light and is conducted without much ceremony.
